What are the Types of OTR Tires?

2025-10-09

OTR tire cores are classified by application scenarios and structural types. The former directly corresponds to equipment requirements, while the latter determines the upper limit of performance.

I.Classification by Application Scenarios (Most Commonly Used)

-Loader tires: Suitable for loaders, with a focus on high-frequency steering and short-distance heavy loads. The tread pattern is deep and wide, providing strong grip and capable of handling frequent loading and unloading operations.

-Excavator tires: They are divided into two types - earthwork tires (for soft/muddy conditions, with sparse patterns to prevent mud trapping) and mining tires (for hard/gravel conditions, with thickened tire bodies to resist impact and puncture)

- Crane tires: Compatible with truck cranes, etc., emphasizing low-speed and heavy-load stability, with high sidewall rigidity, which can reduce deformation during loading and ensure hoisting safety.

--Roller tires: Mostly smooth or shallow patterned, they compact the road surface by their own weight. The tire body is tough and resistant to rolling, and some are equipped with

II. Classification by fetal structure

-Radial engineering tires: The mainstream type, featuring high body strength, fast heat dissipation, and wear resistance. They are suitable for high-intensity continuous operations and have a lifespan about 30% longer than that of bias tires.

-Bias-ply engineering tires: Low cost and simple structure, but weak load-bearing capacity and poor heat dissipation
