What factors affect the lifespan of solid tires?

2025-08-05

Solid Tires1. Solid Tyre Wear Resistance and Temperature Rise: Solid tires have a high wear resistance, low heat generation during operation, and are manufactured without under- or over-sulfurization, resulting in a significantly longer service life.

2. Proper Installation and Use: Proper installation of solid tires directly impacts their service life. This is especially true when replacing new tyres. Solid tyres from different manufacturers, with different types and patterns, and with varying degrees of wear, must not be mixed due to their varying sizes and load capacities. Doing so will seriously impact their service life.

3. Load: The greater the vehicle load, the shorter the lifespan of the solid tyre. This is undeniably true. This is especially true when overloaded. Solid tires have load ratings and should be used within the specified maximum load capacity.

4. Vehicle Speed and Distance: The faster the vehicle travels and the longer the distance traveled, the higher the heat generated by the solid tyre. This significantly degrades the rubber's performance, especially its wear resistance, and significantly reduces the tyre's lifespan.

5. Site Conditions: Frequent operation on bumpy, uneven, or harsh roads can cause excessive impact and wear on the tyres, reducing their service life.

6. Ambient Temperature: The normal operating temperature for our solid tyres is between -30°C and 70°C. Excessively high temperatures accelerate rubber aging, while excessively low temperatures cause the rubber to become brittle, both of which reduce the service life of the solid tires.

7. Driving Habits: These are factors directly related to the driver. Aggressive starts, sudden turns, hard braking, and frequent scraping against obstacles can all lead to severe wear and damage to the tyres, reducing their service life.
