What are the Characteristics of the Web Type Solid Tire?

2025-08-04

The Web Type solid tire is a technological combination of the traditional pneumatic tire rim-type solid tire and the steel rim press-fit solid tire. It absorbs the advantages of both types of solid tires and eliminates their respective disadvantages, making it suitable for various industrial production scenarios. Currently, it is most commonly used in scissor lift and aerial work platform tires, as well as in underground machinery tires for mines and heavy-duty tires for support transport vehicles. It is also used in loading and transportation vehicles at steel mills and docks under high-load working conditions.

Compared with traditional solid tires, the Web Type solid tire has the following advantages:

1. It is formed with a single type of rubber, simplifying the process and avoiding the bonding issues caused by multiple types of rubber in traditional solid tires, thus preventing the layers from separating during use.

2. Due to the good heat conduction of the steel rim, the vulcanization time is shorter, energy consumption is lower, and production efficiency is higher, which meets the current low-carbon requirements.

3. The steel rim can be reused, reducing usage costs.

4. The tire has a small deformation, good stability and safety.

5. The rubber layer of the tire is relatively thin, generating less heat and dissipating heat better, effectively solving problems such as blowouts in traditional solid tires.

6. As the rubber is directly bonded to the steel rim, the risk of rim slippage is eliminated.

7. It is easy to install and use, without the need for rim or hub press-fitting.

8. It has a high load capacity, with the load-bearing capacity of the Web Type solid tire being more than 10% higher than that of the pneumatic rim type solid tire of the same specification.
