A Radial OTR Tyre Order Focused on Specification Clarity

JABIL worked with a customer in Afghanistan’s mining sector on a mixed order of Radial OTR tyres for heavy-duty applications. The project involved confirming tyre sizes and tread patterns, aligning the commercial documents with the selected specifications, and coordinating production updates.

The order included 20.5R25 E3/L3 HRE31 radial OTR tyres, along with 23.5R25 and 26.5R25 tyres specified with the L-5 HRL51 tread pattern. Each specification was recorded as part of the mixed order to keep the product details clear throughout order preparation and communication.

To protect the customer’s commercial confidentiality, the customer’s name, order quantities, prices and contract terms are not disclosed.

Coordinating Tyre Specifications and Order Documents

One of the key tasks was to ensure that each tyre size corresponded to the intended tread pattern. Different tread designs serve different operating conditions, so the selected specification needs to be clearly identified rather than treated as interchangeable with other available patterns.

JABIL coordinated the product details with the customer and aligned the Sales Contract, Proforma Invoice and product annexes with the agreed order specifications. This provided a consistent reference for the products included in the order and helped keep technical details aligned with the commercial documentation.

JABIL clarified the required tyre sizes, tread patterns and quantities for each item, distinguishing the selected configurations from alternative patterns during order preparation.

2. Aligning the commercial documents

The Sales Contract, Proforma Invoice and product annexes were reviewed as a consistent document package so the recorded specifications matched the agreed order.

3. Communicating production progress

JABIL confirmed the production timetable in writing and shared factory production photographs and videos with the customer. These updates provided a visual reference for following the order’s production progress.

4. Discussing pre-shipment inspection arrangements

JABIL invited the customer to arrange an independent third-party inspection before shipment and offered to coordinate the arrangements with the factory. This gave the customer an option to assess the order before shipment.
