Is the Clamp of Forklift Solid Tires with Clip Easy to Fall Off?

2025-07-11

Forklift solid tires with clip are solid tires that are mechanically locked with metal compression rings. The core feature is that they can be loaded without inflation through the physical fit of the elastomer and the rim. This structure ensures the long-term stability of the clamp system through multiple mechanical designs.

The metal compression ring is embedded in the side of the tire. During installation, the elastic tire body is expanded by hydraulic equipment so that the compression ring is accurately inserted into the annular groove on the edge of the rim. After rebounding, the tire and the rim form a triple lock: the mechanical limit of the metal ring, the synergistic effect of the elastic body shrinkage stress and the tire lip friction. Traditional press-fit solid tires rely on interference fit, and circumferential displacement may occur under thermal expansion conditions.

Will the structure loosen under extreme conditions?

The reinforced alloy compression ring is carburized to improve the surface hardness of the forklift solid tires with clip, and the rim groove is laser quenched to enhance wear resistance. The thermosetting polyurethane tire body has a low volume change rate under temperature fluctuations, maintaining a constant wrapping force on the compression ring. Ordinary rubber formulas are prone to stress relaxation in high temperature environments, which weakens the clamping strength.

The geometric matching degree between the pressure ring and the rim is verified by 3D scanning during the manufacturing process, and the assembly error is controlled at the micron level. Daily maintenance only requires the removal of mineral powder or chemical crystals attached to the metal bonding surface to ensure that the physical locking function is not affected by interface contamination.
