What do the ply level of OTR tires indicate, and what are the suitable working environments for OTR tires with different ply level?

The OTR tires ply level is a nominal indicator for measuring the load-bearing capacity and structural strength of the tire body. It represents the equivalent strength grade of the tire carcass layer and is not the actual number of ply layers. The higher the ply level value, the stronger the tire's resistance to impact, puncture and heavy load.

The applicable working environments for different levels of OTR tires are as follows:

Level 12-14: Suitable for light-load operations such as farmland renovation and municipal greening, corresponding to small engineering equipment, with relatively flat road conditions and less gravel.

Level 16-18: Suitable for medium-load operations such as earthwork and road construction, with roads full of gravel and soil, requiring frequent steering and short-distance transfer of equipment.

Level 20-24: Suitable for high-load operations such as mining and port loading, with sharp and gravelly roads and extremely heavy equipment loads, requiring long-term continuous operation.

Level 26 and above: Suitable for extreme heavy-load operations such as deep well mining and large-scale infrastructure blasting, with harsh road conditions and strong impacts, demanding extremely high durability of the tires.
