Russia Quarry Project – Field Notes on 23.5-25 E3 Bias OTR Tire Supply

Background

This cooperation is with a quarry customer in Russia, managed by Alexander.

Their site runs continuous quarry operations, and tire consumption is steady throughout the year. The main specification used is 23.5-25 E3 bias OTR tire, with monthly usage of around 500 units, roughly 10 containers per month.

Because of the operating schedule, the customer places very high importance on delivery stability.

What the customer shared

In our communication, Alexander mentioned a very practical concern from their side:

For quarry operations, even a short delay in tire arrival can directly affect equipment usage and production rhythm.

The focus is not only product performance, but whether supply can stay consistent month after month.

This is the key reason they continue to maintain long-term cooperation with us.

What we adjusted on our side

After the demand volume became stable at this level, we made several internal adjustments specifically for this size:

We added four additional molds for 23.5-25 E3 bias tires, and reorganized production planning to better match the monthly export schedule.

The purpose was straightforward — to make sure this size would not be affected by other production fluctuations, and to keep lead time stable for the customer’s regular shipments.

Customer feedback during cooperation

Over the following shipments, the customer confirmed that:

Delivery timing became more stable compared to earlier stages. The monthly shipment flow remained consistent. There were no interruptions affecting their quarry operations.

They also mentioned that tire performance under quarry conditions remained consistent, especially in long working cycles with heavy load equipment.

Current situation

At present, the cooperation continues on a stable monthly basis, with around 10 containers shipped per month.

The demand pattern has remained unchanged, and the supply schedule has been maintained accordingly.

FAQ

Q1: What size OTR tire is commonly used in quarry operations in Russia?

In this project, the main size used is 23.5-25 E3 bias OTR tire, which is widely applied in quarry trucks and heavy-duty loading equipment.

Q2: How much OTR tire consumption does a quarry operation usually require?

It depends on operation scale, but for this project, the monthly demand reaches around 500 tires (about 10 containers) due to continuous quarry activity.

Q3: Why is supply stability important for quarry tire customers?

Because quarry equipment runs continuously, any delay in tire delivery can directly affect production efficiency and site operations. Stable supply is often more important than one-time pricing.

Q4: What challenges do quarry operations face with OTR tires?

Common challenges include:

· High wear under heavy load conditions

· Continuous operation leading to heat buildup

· Need for consistent replacement cycles

· Risk of production downtime due to supply delay

Q5: How do you ensure stable supply for high-volume OTR tire orders?

In this case, we increased production capacity by adding dedicated molds for the key size and adjusted production planning to align with monthly shipment cycles.

Q6: Are E3 bias OTR tires suitable for all quarry conditions?

E3 bias OTR tires are commonly used in quarry applications, especially for heavy-load vehicles. However, correct specification selection depends on actual working conditions and load requirements.

Closing note

This Russia project remains an ongoing long-term supply case for quarry OTR tires, with stable monthly shipments and consistent cooperation between both sides.
